OUR GROUP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
BEGINNING:
Beg classes are designed for those student have never partner danced or have just started learning to dance. Basic patterns and timing to the music are focused on in this class.
BEGINNING/INTERMEDIATE:
Beg/Int classes are designed to challenge the beginning level students, focusing on leading/following of more intermediate patterns.
INTERMEDIATE:
Int classes build on the patterns and skills learned in beg & beg/int level class. To enjoy this class, a student should be comfortable dancing the basic patterns with a partner and in time to the music.
ADVANCED:
Adv classes work in the full bronze and silver levels of our curriculum. A student should be proficient in leading/following a variety of intermediate patterns on time to the music with
technique.
NEWCOMER:
Newcomer classes are designed for those who have never partner danced before. Basic elements and interrelationships between dances will be taught in this class.
PRE-BRONZE:
Pre-Bronze class is designed for the beginning & intermediate students. Pre-Bronze class introduces and reinforces basic patterns, timing to the music and leading/following skills.
Enhancing our students learning through practice, repetition and review.
AMALGAMATION:
Amalgamation class is designed for the intermediate to advanced students. This class teaches our students to combine and link patterns together without basic steps, developing continuity and fluidity, giving our students a more polished look and feel to their dancing.
SPECIALTY:
Specialty class is an All LEVELS class that focuses on the dances that are not commonly taught.
ASSOCIATE BRONZE:
Associate Bronze class is designed for the intermediate student. This class teaches you to use all the variations and leading/following skills in your Associate Bronze level, as well as emphasizing techniques and styling essential for good Bronze dancing.
TECHNIQUE:
Technique class enhances and continues to develop the techniques and styling you are learning in your private lessons.
CHOREOGRAPHY:
Choreography class is designed for the intermediate & advanced level dancer wanting a highly
stylized look to their dancing. Combining and elaborating on basic to advanced skills and patterns and improvising to find what works best musically is the main focus of this class.
PRACTICE SESSION / DANCE PARTY:
These activities are designed to provide you with the experience of practical application in a
controlled and comfortable environment. Instructors are present to answer your questions and to help you remember what you know. Practice Sessions will strengthen your skills through practice, repetition and review.
